You will find me in Guatemala City, Zone 18 this week. I’m participating in my very first international mission endeavor feeding 250ish children in an orphange. What a privelege and honor to be doing God’s work with children. Our church is partnering with HOPE for Guatemala in the nutritional program to assist with cooking, cleaning and feeding. We’ll even travel to the market to collect fruit and vegetable donations for the families.
By the time you read this, I will already be in the city by God’s will particpiating in this worthy cause. I’d love for you to pray for me this week as I travel abroad as MOM ON A MISSION. I’ll be sure to report all that happens this week when I return. Perhaps you will pray for the non-profit’s vision and/or mission below.
Vision
Hope for Guatemala is dedicated to helping the children and families in Zone 18 of Guatemala City to break the cycle of poverty and help them achieve the quality of life that God desires for them.
Mission
Our mission is to provide the children and families with tools for their spiritual, physical, emotional, and educational development through specific integrated programs that help to treat the roots of poverty and not just the symptoms. Guided by faith, we give our children the opportunity to achieve their goals and dreams for a better tomorrow.
Be sure to check out Hope For Guatamala website if your church would be interested in a trip such as this or for sponsorship of a child.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 NIV
Will you pray for our team as we minister to these children?
