I interrupt my busy week to share how my Foods students are helping the needy too! My three foods classes made yeast bread for the first time. Yes, we made it from scratch using five ingredients compliments of King Arthur. They have this fabulous educational program where you can partner with them. They give you the supplies to make fresh bread and share. You make half for the needy and keep half for yourself.
Here’s the gorgeous loaves my high school students made today. It was quite a first time accomplishment for yeast bread, don’t you think?
And we couldn’t have a Saint Patrick’s Day without a little green.
So here’s what we did with the other half of the dough. We made green clover pretzels.

What did your first loaf of yeast bread look like? So proud of my high school students!
