Here is a glimpse of my normal lunch packing each day. Five out of the six of us pack about twice a week. Three of us pack every day {me, hubby and 3-year-old}. My teenager thinks it’s uncool now How do I manage six lunch boxes leaving at 6:30 in the morning? Here are my best tips:
- Pack the night before.
- Pack right after dinner while the leftovers are ready to go {I always plan 2 extra servings for lunch the next day}.
- I pack adult leftovers in glass bowls for easier reheating.
- I pack kid’s lunches in these handy divided containers and section off with silicone cups.
5. Be creative with proteins. I always have a batch of my world’s easiest boiled eggs for my non-sandwich eater.
6. Pack fun lunches for kids, they are more likely to indulge.
7. Pack snacky, like these energy bites, cheese sticks, granola bars or cookies. {Baked cookies and bars can go from freezer to lunch box}.
8. Pack the colors of the rainbow and you are sure to include lots of vitamins and minerals.
9. Pack a frozen item, such as a frozen smoothie or juice box to thaw by lunch {it doubles as a freezer pack}.
10. Make extra convenience items, such as DIY mini-pizza, pizza bagel bites or pizza mini-muffins for lunch boxes.
