My summer read has been mixed with a Proverbs 31 Bible Study, non-fiction self-help/motivational read and a fiction love story about cooking.
Becoming the Woman God Wants Me to Be by Donna Partow
This 90-Day Guide to Living the Proverbs 31 Life is inspiring and very well organized in Partow’s book. The best part of this study was the Proverbs 31 scripture memory. I devoted myself to learning this scripture by heart and I feel so refreshed and motivated to be the best servant, wife, mother and friend I can be. Each chapter has wonderful nuggets of Truth and practical to-do’s that have reprioritized my household and way of living. I highly recommend this book.
Donna has some free downloads, like menu planner/grocery lists, goals/to do list here.
Being OK With Where You Are by Stacey Thacker
This is a book that I read again in less than two weeks. I have read this book before and gained encouragement from it, but there’s something about reading a book again and gaining new nuggets. All of the scripture really hits home for me and the Bible characters, Jonah and Sarah also resonate with my soul.
Stacey has some freebie scripture cards here.
When I Fall In Love by Susan May Warren
I read this book while I was at the beach this summer. It’s such a sweet story about Grace heading to Hawaii for a cooking retreat and falling in love. I’ll admit I’m a Karen Kingsbury fan and this was a new author to me. However, I found the novel just as eloquently written as my favorite Kingbsury novels. The compelling plot in Hawaii made me long to see such a beautfiul place and participate in a cooking competition!
When I Fall In Love was graciously provided Liftuse Publicity Group. The other two books I purchased myself and my opinions are my own.
